Better coffee beckons

We know people can be a little bit surprised and intrigued by the idea of Japanese coffee – two worlds which don’t usually collide (in Europe, anyway), merge for something new and different.

That’s why – with the help of Maneki-neko – we’re rolling out a weird and wonderful brand campaign across the London Underground, social media, and video on-demand services (YouTube, Sky, and ITV Hub).

Traditionally found in entrance ways, Maneki-neko – the beckoning cat – is a Japanese icon that brings good luck. So, who better to help us launch Ueshima in the UK?!

We know – it’s a bit unusual. But so are we.

And we think it’s time to let the good people of the UK know, #bettercoffeebeckons…

Huge thanks to Maya Fuji – the Japanese artist who worked on this campaign in collaboration with Nexus Design Studios – and Uncommon London, who helped us launch our first ever ‘above-the-line’ campaign in the UK.
